PROVEA ANALYSIS
A NEW BREAKTHROUGH in PRECISION AGRICULTURE
KOSGEB R & D project was carried out in order to conduct the infrastructure studies of PROVEA Remote Sensing and Sensitive Agricultural Decision Support System, and the studies on Recruitment and Damage / Disease detection for the Sultaniye grape species were done., in the measurements which were made by using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles on the vineyards of Sultaniye grape conducted in cooperation with Alaşehir District Directorate of Agriculture. In consequence of this study, the project was successfully completed with high accuracy.
After that, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, a TAGEM project has been carried out within the scope of the studies on the re-interpretation of previous grape data with machine learning techniques and the development of PROVEA Remote Sensing Decision Support System. As a result of the successful results obtained in grape, the study has been continued with the collaboration of Manisa Viticulture Institute and the Izmir Olive Research Institute on the grape and olive fields in the Manisa region. The first phase of the study was completed and the measurements have been continued in Alaşehir, Gölmarmara, Turgutlu, Saruhanlı, Ahmetli and Akhisar districts of Manisa.
As a result of the interpretation of the results obtained in the harvest of grapes and olives, damage / disease detection studies are continuing successfully.
PROVEA SATELLITE
SATELLITE IMAGERY IN PRECISION AGRICULTURE
Provea Satellite is a web service and decision support system application that provides health, water and nitrogen monitoring services using 12-band and 10m resolution Sentinel 2A satellite imagery. Satellite image provider acquires the data every 10-15 days, meaning the users can stay up-to-date with the changes in their lands and plan their actions accordingly. Provea Satellite users can monitor their lands from the past year to the current date with the help of vegetation indices derived from band information of the satellite imagery.
After buying the services, a detailed report that contains the health, nitrogen and water status of their lands will be forwarded to the users in the form of colored maps and graphical information. The colored map data will be provided as a KMZ file that contains the coordinate information of the selected area. Upon the user’s request, an Excel file that contains vegetation index values with coordinate information can also be found within the report files.
Provea Satellite has been in development since 2020 and is contiuously updated with new features for service betterment and user convenience.
